In a unexpected collaboration that breaks usual predictions, the game developer has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Disclosed
According to the authorized release, "An unusual encounter leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where rumors of forbidden practices and terrifying metamorphoses resonate through the darkness." The narrative presents a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a clandestine group.
The questline centers on "strange experiments and a fearsome enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Changes
The teaser features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview concludes with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Bonus Material
Players who finish the mission will receive an special katana alongside multiple items hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
